Rent, rain and other people - PUBLIC ANIMAL | Misanthropic Folk

Rent, rain and other people is a song about the three pressures that keep Public Animal pinned to the city: the cost of staying alive, the weather, and the endless presence of other people. A dark urban folk track about walls, neighbors, demands, small rooms and the exhaustion of shared existence. Pumpkin Records presents Public Animal, an urban misanthropic folk project about learning to live with people without ever learning to like them. House-Trained, Not Healed gathers six acoustic songs about rent, rain, social rituals, forced politeness, bad mornings, strangers, loneliness and the quiet exhaustion of behaving correctly in a world that feels impossible to love. Public Animal is not an outlaw. He is not outside society. That would be too easy. He pays his bills. He holds the door. He says good morning. He shakes hands. He smiles when required. He behaves because the alternative has consequences. Between rough acoustic guitars, tired baritone vocals, urban rain, low drums and bitter folk melodies, Public Animal sings from the place where manners become a leash and solitude starts to feel like oxygen. This is not a call for destruction. It is not romantic isolation. It is the sound of someone who has accepted society, understood its rules, and still cannot forgive it. I learned to live with people. I never learned to like them. 🎃 For those who believe machines can dream. #folk #acousticgrunge #darkfolk #indie #alternativefolk #grungefolk #sadacoustic #darkacoustic #indiefolk #urbanmelancholy
