Our Dreamy Escape to a Japanese Onsen Town 🇯🇵 | Kinosaki

Come with us to Kinosaki Onsen, Japan, for a dreamy couple getaway and one of our favorite stays of our entire Japan trip. 🇯🇵 For this vlog, we stayed at Kinosaki Maruyamagawa Onsen Ginka, a beautiful luxury Japanese ryokan overlooking the Maruyama River. A stay here would normally cost around ¥80,000 (about $500) per night, but we were lucky enough to find a deal online for roughly half the usual price. From the traditional tatami rooms and beautiful river views to the onsen and yukata, it felt like experiencing a completely different side of Japan. We take you along on our journey to Kinosaki, show you around our ryokan, explore the area and experience what it’s like to slow down and spend a summer day in one of Japan’s most famous onsen destinations. Kinosaki Onsen is a traditional hot spring town in Hyogo Prefecture, known for its seven public onsen, beautiful ryokan and people walking through town in yukata. If you're planning a Japan trip beyond Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, this is definitely a place to have on your list. And there was one part of our stay that deserved its own video: our incredible 8-course Japanese dinner at the ryokan.
