Thumbnail : DEFENDING KANE'S TOWER!! FOR OUR FUTURE!!!
In this video, we play through the final mission of Act 5 of the Nod Campaign, and the final mission of the campaign as a whole : Kane's Tower. The time for the final battle, that will ultimately decide the future of the brotherhood, is now. This battle is the natural culmination of this entire war; conquest never truly mattered to us, GDI could have this rotting planet for all we care. But our goals are far beyond our enemies' comprehension, for if we win here, we shall ascend beyond the plains of man and to the great unknown...But I am getting ahead of myself, here is what we must do to secure our destiny.
GDI has destroyed almost every single alien tower in the world, but at the southern tip of Italy, one tower remains...Which will not be standing for long, as GDI is already besieging the alien tower and its defenders with full, unrelenting force. We MUST defend this tower at all costs to insure the utter completion and fulfillment of Kane's plans. Our future and EVERYTHING that matters to us depends on that tower.
We must defend the phase generators, which shield the tower from harm, without them - GDI will use their Ion Cannon network to destroy the Tower. This is easier said than done, as GDI is now at its most powerful since the start of the war and we only start with a pre-established base at the Southwestern quadrant of the map, possessing no units of our own.
On top of that, GDI is also employing specialized, high-range Juggernauts that can hit targets from ludicrous distances without the spotting of snipers, one of our bonus objectives recommends that we destroy these war machines and then capture them with saboteurs; turning their immense firepower, vision, and range on their former owners.
While we start in a hidden crevice in the Southwestern quadrant of the map, both the alien tower and the defending Visitor base around it are to the Northwest. GDI has two bases at the Eastern corners of the map, a highly fortified base of operations to the Northeast, and a relatively big support base to the Southeast. Additionally, there is a small, well-defended GDI airbase on a cliff to the North, which acts as GDI's main source of air support in the area, we must destroy it ASAP.
It is very likely that GDI will construct an Ion Cannon Control Center here in one of their two bases, and when they do, we MUST take it out as quickly as we can. Even if they cannot use the superweapon on the tower, they'll instead use it on the Visitors' base or our base, it is a massive threat and must be eliminated immediately upon being detected.
As for the Alien Defenders? They are not an immediate threat to us and will not open fire upon us unless we do so first, but they are NOT allies. While I would prefer not to antagonize the visitors, I believe it would be ideal to help them defend against GDI's attacks at first, when we are weak, and THEN pacify them & defend the tower in their place once we have gathered enough strength; that is probably the best approach.
Once the dust settles, our forces will be victorious and the tower will be complete, for we would have bought it enough time for it to be so; our destiny and future will be secured, our ASCENSION to the Visitors' world guaranteed, with the guidance of our lord, savior, and prophet...KANE.
Let us end this so-called war and attain our ultimate, personal victory. FOR KANE!! FOR THE BROTHERHOOD OF NOD!!! AND FOR ALL OUR LOYAL BRETHREN WHO BRAVELY SACRIFICED THEMSELVES TO GET US THIS FAR!!!!
PEACE. THROUGH. POWER!!!
(Note : My computer is old and I am new to this, doing it purely out of passion, so Idc about any lag or visible technical issues as I cannot fix them at the moment.)
(Note 2 : Without a doubt, the hardest finale in the game and probably the most difficult mission in the campaign as a whole, just above Ayers Rock. As you can see from the constant cutting, this took me many attempts, and I even had a failed recording session because I genuinely struggled with this mission so much. What a doozy.)
(Note 3 : Man, it sure is a shame that we did not get to play with the Scrin in this game, I only got to use their tech tree twice in this campaign, and only here did I effectively use it to win the mission. It's truly unfortunate, but what can ya do abo- WHAT-)
