Keratoconus is a progressive disease that causes the corneal to thing and bulge out like a cone shape. This can cause unique visual symptoms including: Blur in all distances, Streaks of light especially at night while driving, ghost images including triple ghost images, rapidly changing vision and increasing blur, difficult clarity of vision with glasses or normal contacts, and sometimes even light sensitivity. They key to treating keratoconus is diagnosing it early. The top early treatment is corneal cross-linking to strengthen the corneal tissue to slow down the progression of keratoconus. Then it's a matter of treating and improving the vision as best as possible.
