Fallout New Vegas has an optional survival mechanic that... Is a bit of a joke. Hardcore Mode adds three new major mechanics. Hunger, thirst and sleep. You either keep tabs on those or you get significant debuffs except all the rivers are clean and safe to drink from. There's food basically everywhere and an owned bed costs either 100 caps in Novac or simply however long you take to meet Mr. House. But what if I told you that this isn't even half the punchline? I'll prove it. No glitches or exploits. I'm gonna be playing the game on Very Hard difficulty, with hardcore mode on, but for today I cannot eat, drink, sleep, wait or fast travel.
