TUESDAY: 23RD WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME, YR B

10th September Prayer is important to the Evangelist Luke, which may be why he shows Jesus spending the whole night in prayer before "choosing" the Twelve. There is a rhythm of prayer throughout the Gospel, especially at the defining moments of Jesus' public ministry. Luke invites his audience to this life-giving experience of prayer and communion. We do not always feel it right make some life changing decisions or to be accommodating... Jesus even though He is God, offers us the examplar of the place of Prayer in our Christian journey. To pray well, is to be attuned to the Divine will.
