The Sims 3 | One Last Day | No Commentary Gameplay

University is right around the corner, and for Lucas, that means one last stretch of familiar days before everything changes. He spends time with the people who have shaped his life up to this point and watches as old relationships around him continue to settle into something new. Maura and Dominique are growing closer as friends, while Derrick has found a quieter rhythm of his own with his painting. Then Lucas takes the University Aptitude Test and earns a full scholarship. Suddenly, leaving home stops feeling like some distant plan and starts feeling real. With that comes one of the harder decisions he has to make. Unsure of what University will bring, how long they’ll be apart, or who either of them might become along the way, Lucas decides to end things with Sean rather than ask him to wait. He tries to break the news gently over dinner and hopes they can remain friends, but goodbyes are rarely as simple as you want them to be. His last full day at home is spent with the people closest to him. He goes bowling with Sean in the hope that they can still hold onto their friendship, then the family heads to the park for one final day together. They compete in an eating contest, Lucas and Derrick have a soccer shootout, and everyone takes pictures to remember the moment. By the next morning, there isn’t much left to do except say goodbye. Sean comes by one last time to say goodbye while Derrick and Dominique stop over to see him off too. Lucas finally sits down at the computer and enrolls. For the first time, Lucas is leaving behind the family, the neighborhood, and the life he’s always known. He has absolutely no idea what, or who, is waiting for him when he gets to Sims University.
