Today's episode is called "Why the World is Exploding". Over the last week, week and a half, we have witnessed three fuses lit. First, there's the deployment loop by the United States, where we're seeing a third aircraft carrier continuing to head to the Persian Gulf with another 2, 000 Marines en route, and those Marines are fully amphibious capable. At almost the same time, we're seeing Putin threatening nuclear weapons, the use of nuclear weapons, in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. At almost exactly the same time, we are seeing the activation of the Mecca Pact in the Saudi-Yemen conflict where Saudi Arabia is going toe-to-toe with increasing force against the Houthis. And now Pakistan, and possibly others, are sending troops. Three theaters in one week. That has led to a world that is more combustible. This raises two big questions. What could set off each one of these fuses. What's the trigger in each theater, and how close is it. And why is it all happening at once. What's the common thread running through these three explosive theaters. The answer to number one is simple. We are witnessing the global escalation trap. The same loop, three continents, three theaters, all at once. Where an actor is using force to take control, the opponent is answering. Horizontally, the credibility now of that actor that used force to take control is on the line, and that is encouraging that actor to climb to the next rung. This is what we're seeing in Washington vs. Iran, Moscow vs. NATO, and Riyadh vs. the Houthis.
