From John's 1975 record Mark Twang. Banjo tuned down to E. Recorded to cassette tape on a Tascam Portastudio 424 Mk II. For anyone curious, the percussion is coming from my feet, which is why I'm moving around and a bit out of breath. Shout out to Russ Carson, who encouraged me to learn the whole tune. The Julia Belle Swain is a very real boat which Hartford piloted periodically. It has been out of commission for several years but is being restored and nearing completion.
