CLARE-ASEAN Webinar: Urban Heat Management for Climate Adaptation and Resilience in ASEAN Cities

This webinar organized by the CLARE-ASEAN initiative was held on 20 August 2026, focussing on " Urban Heat Management for Climate Adaptation and Resilience in ASEAN Cities ". The webinar was joined by over 300 participants from around the world through the Zoom Platform. This webinar brought together government officials, researchers, practitioners, and private sector stakeholders to address the growing challenge of extreme urban heat. Discussions centered on evaluating emerging evidence, implementation challenges, and the governance frameworks necessary to build socially inclusive climate resilience. Participants identified practical pathways to scale heat mitigation through urban planning, targeted investments, and regional policy integration. Ultimately, the event fostered cross-sectoral collaboration to establish actionable policy recommendations, document best practices, and strengthen regional knowledge-sharing networks. Insights from this dialogue will contribute to the CLARE-ASEAN initiative’s ongoing regional synthesis of evidence on Urban Heat Management in ASEAN cities and help inform policy and planning processes for climate-resilient urban development.
