The Road Went Nowhere. I Rode It Twice. | Kentucky Motorcycle Ride

There's a road in the coalfields of eastern Kentucky that doesn't really go anywhere. I found it on a GPS, rode it ten miles in — and found out why it was empty. Kentucky Route 3418 runs between Raccoon and Kimper in Pike County, following Raccoon Creek through the hollow before climbing into the ridges as Ridge Line Road. It's narrow, it's quiet, and on a perfect April morning, it was one of the better roads of the trip. I just didn't know I'd be riding it twice.
