Autechre - Glasgow 2005 - 3 of 4

FLASHING WARNING! NOT MY MUSIC! DON'T FORGET TO BLINK! This is my visual take on the classic Glasgow 2005 set to be found elsewhere on YouTube, in 4 parts. I think I remastered it many years ago, for myself, so it might be that version you hear, if it sounds different. I guarantee you any mastering I did back then was mild, in any case. It slaps here, all I know. Gonks right out as needed. Using DaVinci Resolve and kdenlive, this is my first go at animating a liveset. I plan to do many more, over a long time, but the logistics are NOT easy. The whole set, in 4k, is 134gb. I had to break it up, but I think I chose the most logical points for it (and spent two days at it before settling so I could move on). This is likely how the livesets will go, but please try to remember they are created with viewing the whole in mind. Make no mistake, I'm gonna mess with your eyes in this series, very intentionally...but I also give breaks before and after, so to speak. Relax into it and see where it takes you, while focusing on the music primarily anyway. I promise it's all just shapes and color derived very directly from the sound itself-- I just gave it an evolving playground with shittons of nuance, heh. There's 2tb of work contained here. And weeks of effort, this started last month. Anyway, know that it starts slow on purpose. What does the music do? o_o It acclimates you. I figured old Glasgow 2005 was a perfect place to figure out how it will go before I tackle the others. I will likely do them in order just to easier keep my place in that madness ahead. My favorite are the newer ones, so at least I'll have even more experience under my belt by the time I get to them. I hope you enjoy this fun and go buy more Autechre records, catch them live.
