In this video, I walk you through a complete 7.3 Powerstroke turbo removal, uncut and in real time, showing every clamp, bolt, and stubborn connection. This is the raw reality of working on these beasts. Whether you're replacing your turbo, doing injector upgrades, or just troubleshooting boost issues, this step-by-step guide will show you how to remove the turbo from your 1999–2003 7.3 Powerstroke without breaking parts (or your spirit). I'll cover tools, common pain points, and how to fight that dreaded back clamp. If you're a diesel DIYer, this video is your new best friend. Trying out the #raybanmeta glasses to show the more detailed parts of this. Process goes as follows. 1. Disconnect Batteries 2. Take three nuts off MAP sensor and swing over to engine valley. 3. Remove air intake piping and pop out of CCV. 4. Remove intercooler piping from driver and passenger side 5. Remove wires from spider and loosen clamps. Watch that o-ring when you remove spider! 6. Remove exhaust outlet down pipe clamp 7. Remove the clamp on back of turbo. Helps to use a prybar or flat head screw driver to pop the “seal” on the v-band clamp. May help to loosen the turbo hold down bolts to wiggle it. 8. Do what you can to get that clamp off completely, remove the hold down bolts completely, lift, wiggle and twist the old girl out of there.  9.
