Built on early Christian foundations, it preserves underground relics and echoes of Rome’s earliest faith history, far from crowded tourist flows. 📍**Arch of Gallienus** A surviving 3rd‑century Roman arch, once the old Esquiline city gate of Rome’s Servian Wall. Tucked between city buildings, it is a quiet visible fragment of imperial Rome right in the modern streetscape. 📍**Vittorio’s Square (Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II)** Rome’s vibrant multicultural square, surrounded by grand porticoes. A perfect place to pause, soak in local city life before heading to nearby historic sites. 📍**The Colosseum** No Rome journey is complete without this world‑famous amphitheatre. Standing here, you feel the weight of Roman antiquity, imagining the dramas that unfolded inside these massive stone walls. 📍**Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli** Home to Michelangelo’s monumental marble statue **Moses**, the centrepiece of the unfinished tomb project for Pope Julius II. The powerful, dramatic sculpture alone makes this basilica absolutely worth visiting. Walking these sites, you move smoothly between imperial Rome, early Christian heritage and Renaissance masterpieces.
