Benalmádena is one of the Costa del Sol’s leading tourist destinations, renowned for its wide range of leisure and entertainment attractions. Visitors can enjoy theme parks, aquariums, a casino, a cable car, and Puerto Marina, one of Andalucía’s largest and most distinctive marinas. The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times and experienced significant growth during the period of Muslim rule. However, after becoming part of the Crown of Castile in 1485, development slowed due to natural disasters and frequent pirate raids along the coast.
