My favorite Japanese song: ロビンソン

I still remember when my friend Taku showed me this song for the first time... I was completely moved by the melody of ロビンソン, made by Spitz [スピッツ], which is also my favorite band of Nihon. Time passes by and I still can't get enough of this song. Such great melody, very well made - everything just fits like it was meant to be. And I'm not even including the depth of the lyrics. Beautiful words, metaphors - poetry! The effect of this song was so big on me that I started to look for more of this genre around that musical time in Japan. And that's when I found out how Japanese music is very rich in melodies - which is the first thing that grabs my attention when it comes to a song. Anyway. If you're from Japan, you probably saw me talking and kinda playing this song on my 'Rock Fujiyama' interview. Back then, it was just an improvisation. As soon as I finished playing the chorus on that TV show, I instantly felt that I needed to learn how to play this masterpiece properly. I could finally give some time to explore the melodies of ロビンソン - and this is why I am posting this now. And that is, ladies and gentlemen, my favorite Japanese song ever: 'Robinson', by Spitz.
