3 | Manananggal (Shake Rattle and Roll III, 1984)

Manananggal, released in 1984 and directed by Peque Gallaga, tells the story of Douglas, a young man who is out on a moonlit night to serenade Anita, a beautiful woman who lives in a hut in the middle of the forest, who may not be what she seems. The opening track is Anita, by local metal band Punebre (https://punebre.bandcamp.com/track/anita) . Check them out on Facebook (  / punebrepilipinas  ) and YouTube (   / @punebre.pilipinas  ) . And I'm still waiting for them to restock those amazing Manananggal pullovers! Our ad is Dark Theory, a podcast about mystery, intrigue, conspiracy,   the sinister, the bizarre, the unsolved and twisted tales that push  the  boundaries of what we know to be real. Follow them on Twitter (  / darktheoryph  ) and Instagram (  / darktheoryph  ) and listen wherever you get your podcasts (https://open.spotify.com/show/0co2oAU...) . Thank you for listening.
