We Got a BOAT, a GREENHOUSE... and There’s a SERIAL KILLER Loose - Nivalis Nights EP2

Nivalis Nights drops us into a gorgeous cyberpunk city that genuinely feels alive, with busy streets, voiced NPCs, relationships, quests, and plenty of people to meet as we try to build a life for ourselves. Unfortunately, that new life begins with being gifted a noodle restaurant and discovering that it also comes with a lovely 50,000 Lims worth of debt. The core loop has you buying supplies, cooking, waiting tables, hiring staff and gradually improving your restaurant as you work your way up from the bottom. It is definitely more of a slow burn than an action-heavy experience, but the atmosphere, soundtrack, characterisation and sense of place really worked for me. There were a few performance slowdowns in this pre-release build, but otherwise it ran well and I had a really enjoyable time with it. Disclosure: I received a free review copy of this game.
