We also look at how Nazi propaganda turned Jews into a political scapegoat, how discrimination gradually became government policy, and how laws such as the Nuremberg Laws systematically excluded Jews from German society. The video also explains Kristallnacht, the persecution of Jews during the Second World War, the so-called “Final Solution” and the Holocaust—the systematic murder of approximately six million Jews by Nazi Germany and its collaborators. The story of the Holocaust is not simply the story of one individual. It is also a story of propaganda, prejudice, discrimination, political power, institutional participation and the consequences of treating an entire community as an enemy.
