Roger Daltrey: A Great Night Out - September 15, 2026 - Riverside Theater - Milwaukee, WI (4K HDR)

An excellent concert! At age 82 Roger Daltrey can still sing powerfully! Milwaukee Riverside Theater on September 15, 2026 This is the first concert where I shot 6K HDR source video in order to have some headroom for stabilizing the view and still retain sharp images at 4K. The first two songs were using the 3x lens. After that I decided to switch to the 1x lens and digitally zoom in slightly to capture the whole stage. Unfortunately I didn't notice for one song that the focus had changed. I kept that song in the final version since the music is what this is all about. Overall there is still a small amount of smear due to image stabilization. It turns out that even having just optical stabilization enabled can cause warping. Smartphone OIS lens shifts create micro-perspective distortions (so says AI) during bumps so I'll just to turn it off. The video will be shaky but won't have lens warping that seems to confuse Resolve. In terms of exposure I think I can drop the ISO from 100 to 64 because I think I see some lighting blows out faces. Perhaps it's OK. Gotta think about it some. Hardware: Samsung S25 Ultra smartphone, Blackmagic Camera App, Zoom Am7 Mid/Side USB mic in 120deg mode. Video settings: 24fps, 61mm lens @ 3x optical zoom, 22mm lens @ 1x optical zoom, 1/48 shutter, fixed ISO 100. Rec.2100 HLG 10bits format. HEVC video codec. White balance fixed at 4500. Optical stabilization was enabled. (See notes above about OIS.) Audio: 16 bit Linear PCM format to avoid lossy compression using AAC. The final video was created using Davinci Resolve Studio 21. NOTE: The "descriptive" audio track is the raw audio used to create the final audio.
