"Where is love?" from the musical "Oliver!" - Sebastian Krupa

Song from the musical "Oliver!" (1960) Composer and lyricist: Lionel Bart (1930-1999) Piano and vocals: Sebastian Krupa 2022 Musical "Oliver", both written and composed by Lionel Bart. This British musical was based on the novel "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens (released in 1838) The characters are placed in the Victorian England. "Where is love?" is a beautiful song, sang by a lonely, title character - Oliver - the orphan, who is about 9-12 years old and was born in the workhouse. This is one of my favorite tunes from the musical theatre! Lyrics: Where is love? Does it fall from skies above? Is it underneath the willow tree That I've been dreaming of? Where is she Who I close my eyes to see? Will I ever know the sweet hello That's meant for only me? Who can say where she may hide? Must I travel far and wide? 'Til I am beside the someone who I can mean something to Where, where is love? Who can say where she may hide? Must I travel far and wide? 'Til I am beside the someone who I can mean something to Where, where is love?
