But somewhere along the way, we begin to realize just how quickly the years can pass. The idea for this song came from thinking about the difference between having a lot and having enough. It's easy to measure a life by the things we accumulate, the money we make, the places we go, or the accomplishments we can point to. But those things don't mean nearly as much as the people we loved, the memories we made, and the moments we chose to share with the people who mattered most. The song tells the story of two very different lives. One man has everything money can buy, but finds himself alone.
