Nobody hands you the unwritten rules of staying put in retirement. Six of them — including three that came straight from your comments on the last video.
The plan everybody was handed went like this: raise the kids, sell the big house, buy something small, pocket the difference. For a lot of people that plan stopped working, and nobody sent out a notice.
This isn't a housing market breakdown. It's six rules for the people who already decided to stay — what it actually costs, what nobody prices in, and the one question that separates staying from being stuck.
Three of these came from viewers. The property tax lock, the downstairs apartment, and prepare-like-you're-leaving are not mine. Thank you for writing them in.

QUESTION FOR YOU
The most-liked comment I found on this subject is eleven words long and doesn't contain a single number. Four things and a decision.
So — what are your four? Not the dollar figure. The four things that don't come with you if you move.
Leave it below. They end up in the next one.
