Greta Van Fleet on Palace for the People, Dedicated Fans, and Facing Criticism

Greta Van Fleet just released their fourth album, Palace for the People, and announced a massive 2027 world tour. Consequence recently caught up with all four members of the Michigan rock band to discuss the new album and more. The extensive 2027 tour runs from early February through late July, and includes two North American legs. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster, with the band taking measures to ensure that the prices will remain at face value. During our conversation with Greta Van Fleet, the band members discussed the new album, along with a few of its songs, particularly "The Heart and the Beat," "Play Your Games," and "Saw You Stand." The band also talked about the criticism they faced upon breaking into the scene, particularly the comparisons to a certain classic rock act. 00:00 Intro 00:34 Breaks and Burnout 02:05 Palace for the People 03:34 Equality themes 04:29 Getting Heavy 06:07 Vocal Letting Go 07:54 Guitar Solos Return 10:30 "Saw You Stand" 11:27 Intimate Club Shows 12:30 Growing Up Together 16:26 Handling Early Criticism 19:59 Fans and Connection 21:22 Closing Mission Statement 21:53 Credits Subscribe here for more! https://bit.ly/2RZJXTc Get more of Consequence http://consequence.net/ Facebook: http://cos.lv/QJFI30rnuXQ Twitter: http://cos.lv/zAxA30rnuXL TikTok: http://cos.lv/KZdI30rnuXJ Instagram: http://cos.lv/QJFI30rnuXQ Twitter: https://bit.ly/2RS5g8Z
