8 Most Disturbing TRUE Appalachian Hunting Horror Stories That Will Give You Nightmares

8 Most Disturbing TRUE Appalachian Hunting Horror Stories That Will Give You Nightmares Deep in the hollows of Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina, hunters have come back from the woods with stories they can barely bring themselves to tell — and in some cases, have only told once. In this video, we share eight of the most unsettling firsthand accounts ever collected from the Appalachian backcountry: a voice that called a man’s name from across a hollow while the person it belonged to stood silent beside him; a road that measured 4.3 miles going in and 2.1 miles coming out; trail cameras moved — twice — without triggering a single motion alert; a game warden who watched a figure stand completely motionless in an open clearing for two full minutes and left it out of his official report; a man who heard his dead grandfather’s voice from above a ridgeline his grandfather had warned him never to cross; and a father and son who, sitting side by side on the floor of a locked cabin in the dark, heard the same voice from the same window say two different things. These aren’t campfire embellishments. These are accounts given by retired wardens, lifelong hunters, and ordinary people who went into familiar woods and came back changed — people who lock their doors differently now, who don’t answer when something calls their name from the trees, and who have never gone back. #appalachianhorror, #appalachianhorror, #appalachiantrail, #horrorstories Gathering Darkness by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Source: incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100849 Artist: incompetech.com/ The Halloween Dawn by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Source: www.twinmusicom.org/song/248/the-halloween-dawn Artist: www.twinmusicom.org Ice Demon by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Source: incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1200061 Artist: incompetech.com/
