Everywhere Simultaneously

This piece was premiered at Oxford New Music Weekend by and written for Leandro Landolina. This piece is the second movement of a collection of pieces composing with and analysing car sound within Birmingham, UK and Jacksonville, US. This piece aims to analyse what “tuning to your sonic environment” (Clancy) by using sounds from 2 different places geographically, although the source (the car) is the same. Using the flute, the instrument acts as a negotiator through highlighting tonal, textural, and gestural features.
