This information session provides an overview of Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) procurement and contracting. Department of Commerce Division for Community Revitalization (DCR). The agency offers this overview of future opportunities through CDBG-DR, covering what local governments in the areas impacted by Hurricane Helene can do now to start preparing to take advantage of these opportunities. Additional training opportunities focusing on specifics of available programs will be held later in the summer, with in-person opportunities planned in western NC. This session will ensure that all local governments have the same access to information at the outset of this process. It is made possible by a collaboration between the NC League of Municipalities, N.C. Association of County Commissioners, the UNC School of Government and our program partners -- Land of Sky Regional Council, Southwestern Commission, Foothills Regional Commission, High Country Council, and Western Piedmont Council of Governments.
