New Forest MRS Exhibition 2026 Part 1 of 2

The New Forest Model Railway Society (NFMRS) held its 2026 exhibition over the weekend 23rd/24th May at the Brockenhurst Community Centre. Thirteen layouts were on display covering N, 00 and 0 gauges and various eras and locations. An enjoyable few hours, so thanks to the club and exhibitors. Diesel Depot running a variety of stock from the late 1980s to mid 1990s. 05:43 Hells Glen - N gauge - Bob Morris. Continuous run American layout including a Power Station, coal mine and a gorge. 08:13 Penny Lane - 00 gauge - Phil Kempsey. How many Beatles songs and references can you find? 09:55 Falkirk Road - 00 gauge - David King. Set in Central Scotland in 1968, locos are shuttled in & out between workings. 11:03 Ropley - 00 gauge - Chris Cleveland. Based on the preserved Watercress Line between 2009 to early 2013. 15:23 Melangoose - 00 gauge - Nigel Crow. Small Cornish branch line serving a china clay works and local farmers. 19:45 Crosscombe - 0 gauge - Marchwood Modellers. An imaginary GWR branch line terminus station with two platforms, a goods yard and private siding. Electrical issues meant a suspension of service.
