3 Marines Say Bigfoot Chased Them at Quantico

Three Marines were conducting nighttime training at Marine Corps Base Quantico when their compasses apparently led them back to where they started. Then things got stranger. According to BFRO Report #79672, the Marines heard trees cracking in the darkness. When they turned on their flashlights, they reportedly saw an enormous reddish-brown creature 20 to 30 feet above the ground, pulling two trees toward one another. The witness estimated the creature was around eight feet tall. Then the Marines ran. According to the report, something large crashed through the woods behind them for roughly 20 to 30 seconds as they headed for their pickup vehicle. What makes this case even more interesting is that this apparently wasn't the only unusual encounter reported around Quantico. Other alleged sightings involving Marines occurred in the same general area years earlier. Today on Black Timber Archives, I'm reading BFRO #79672 for the first time and reacting to the report as we go.
