Instead of taking a large sightseeing boat, we rented a private hand-rowed boat for two and spent about two hours exploring the quieter side of West Lake 🚣 From the wide-open Outer Lake to the lush waterways of Wuguitan, Yuhuwan, and Jihong Bridge, we passed through narrow channels and under beautiful stone bridges. It showed us a completely different side of West Lake from what we had imagined. After the boat ride, we walked around Hefang Street and then headed to Dama Nong, a lively local market street. Along with the famous sights, we also wanted to show a little of everyday life and local food culture in Hangzhou.
