Genesis 36 | Esau's Family, Future, and Fortune | Pastor John Thiauri

Chapter 36 summarises the life of his twin brother Esau. Despite being the elder brother, he is the one who has to leave the Promised Land and live in the hill country of Seir. He has wives, children and grandchildren. In the nation he builds, which is still a fulfilment of God's word, he has chiefs and kings from his lineage and from those he integrates with. It is a tough, often neglected chapter on genealogy that we can naturally ignore, but later in the gospels we see that some of Esau/Edom's descendants came to hear Jesus speak. If they did, we, who don't trace biologically to Abraham, can too. May the peoples praise Him.
