100 years of durga puja: who really keeps it alive

Every year, millions of photographs are taken of the goddess. Almost none show the people who keep Durga Puja running: the priest, the dhakis, the cooks and the workers. This short documentary follows them through Durga Puja 2026, in the pandal's 100th year. Filmed in Jaswanat Road, Guwahati, Assam, from Shashthi to Dashami.
