In this Gundam Card Game IRL testing session at a LGS, Zenith, Absolute Carnage, my Blue/Red deck, goes up against a Purple/Red Marida Neo Zeon build to see how both strategies actually perform outside of theorycrafting. I've spent plenty of time talking about deck construction, card interactions, consistency, and what a deck is supposed to accomplish. But eventually you have to actually play the cards. This matchup gives us a chance to see how Blue/Red Absolute Carnage handles a very different Purple/Red Neo Zeon strategy built around Marida Cruz, and where each deck succeeds or struggles once they're forced to respond to a real opponent. Throughout the testing, we're looking at things like: • Absolute Carnage Blue/Red gameplay • Purple/Red Marida Neo Zeon • Gundam Card Game IRL gameplay • Real-world deck testing • Early-game development • Board control and pressure • Unit and Pilot interactions • Resource management • Card sequencing • Matchup decisions • Deck consistency • What works differently in actual play than it does on paper That's one of the most important parts of building any Gundam Card Game deck. A list can look great when you're staring at 50 cards on a screen. The real test comes when another deck starts fighting back. Which cards are you actually happy to draw? Can the deck establish its game plan consistently? Can it recover when the opponent disrupts that plan? And are the cards you thought were important actually doing their job once the game starts? That's what this testing session is about. Absolute Carnage vs Purple/Red Marida Neo Zeon Two different approaches, two different color combinations, and a chance to see what both decks can really do.
