Historic Maryland and Delaware Railroad Engines Leaves the Delmarva Peninsula

In Summer of 2026, Maryland and Delaware Railroad EMD SW900 #801 and EMD Rebuilt CF7 #2628 were both purchased by a new owner by the name of Evans Group Holdings. Once the paperwork was cleared from Amtrak, Delmarva Central Railroad HA-1 took these engines north to be interchanged with Norfolk Southern K64 on October 6th, it will then put onto the Norfolk Southern 37A out of Edgemoore to where it may be going to the Columbia and Reading Railroad, but at the time of uploading this video, we are not 100% sure if that is correct. Maryland and Delaware Railroad in 2025 was bought out by Carload Express, the subsidiary of Delmarva Central Railroad. Both of Maryland and Delaware Railroad's EMD RS3M's #1203 and #1202 already left for the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad , however #1201 still sits in the weeds in operable in Massey, MD. Although Carload Express took over those operations, it will always be the Maryland and Delaware Railroad, just not with the history of the engines displaying "Maryland and Delaware". We took off our full time job and caught up the Delmarva Central Railroad HA-1 working Jello Yard in Dover, Delaware, then watch the interchange happen with Norfolk Southern K64 North of Clayton, and continuing getting a few more shots at Blackbird and Boyds Corner before the sun starts setting. This was the last time we got our videos of the Maryland and Delaware Railroad engines, and for the first time in years, traveled beyond Maryland and Delaware state lines.
