A Hand Pump in the Middle of the Fields?! | Thar Trails

Today we're walking right through the fields — and finding a few things along the way that even surprised us. We check out a sesame (til) crop up close, the same sesame that ends up cleaned and packaged in city stores. We find a farmer's resting spot under a big neem tree — a mat laid out on the ground, offering real relief in 50-degree summer heat. We follow a path worn smooth by years of farmers walking and riding through here. And right in the middle of it all, a fully working hand pump — installed and still running, a genuine surprise find out in the fields.
