What Microsoft Doesn't Tell You About the Canvas Authoring MCP With Brent Mason

Today you can point an AI coding agent at a canvas app and it builds screens, controls, and Power Fx while you watch. Microsoft's documentation covers the setup but says little about what is actually happening. Brent traces the full path from prompt to app and shows you the one thing holding it all together, then exposes the architectural facts behind many of the strange behaviors frustrating makers today. This clears up common misconceptions about what the Canvas Authoring MCP does and does not do to your app and tells you which problems have workarounds and which you just have to live with. Brent also covers what Microsoft has and has not committed to supporting. Then he builds an app live using the MCP.
