THE GRAND CANYON of the Middle East | Oman

Today we headed to Jebel Shams, a mountain range in northern Oman. Here we hiked the Balcony trail, which runs through a canyon along the ridge of a mountain, leading to the remains of an abandoned village. This was a stunning walk and easy to see why the vast canyon is labelled the 'Grand Canyon of the Middle East'!
