Dag Heward-Mills remembers visiting a city where a war was raging just twenty miles away - yet inside, the disco was playing and the hotels were full, because nobody there felt how close the real fighting actually was. He uses it to describe spiritual warfare: the farther you are from the real battle, the more peaceful and normal your life looks, even while people around you are genuinely dying in it. Then he gets personal - John the Baptist lost his head for taking a stand, and they tried to crucify Jesus too. His point: get close enough to the real fight and you will feel the heat, but every name, every small act of courage, is being recorded by God. His call is simple - stop watching the war from a distance, come fight with the enemy, and build for God.
