Tungnath Temple Uttarakhand is the highest temple of Lord Shiva and is one of the kedar amongst the panch kedar. Trek to Tungnath Temple is around 3.5kms and takes approx 4hrs to reach. We could not go to Chandrashila Peak because it started raining Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in the Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Tungnath mountains form the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys. We stayed in Beniakund Chopta and from Chopta to Tungnath is trek.
