This week we're joined by Andrew Hastings. We talk about growing up in Manly and Sydney's Northern Beaches, local Facebook community groups, council complaints, public transport, Northern Beaches culture and the strange politics of local community pages. Andrew also talks about growing up around the time of the Cronulla riots, Catholic school, rugby league, the social hierarchy of an all-boys school, being captain of the chess team, school bullying, surf carnivals, emo culture and eventually leaving the Northern Beaches for Sydney. Later we get into Andrew's Year 12 retreat, one of the more chaotic school stories we've had on the podcast, before talking about old pranks, getting naked for comedy, Zoom during lockdown and the difference between doing something funny in your head and actually committing to it.
