Most people plan a trip by booking a hotel, saving a few places on Google Maps and then figuring out the rest on the way. I plan trips differently. In this video I share the exact system I use to plan nature-focused road trips: sunrise, sunset, weather, route flow, daily pace, stay location, food, phone network, offline maps, car comfort, luggage and energy level. The goal is not to cover the maximum number of places. The goal is to reach the right place at the right time, leave enough breathing space, and actually enjoy the journey. MY PLANNING SYSTEM: • Sunrise, sunset and weather • Route mapping and natural driving sequence • Must-see vs optional stops • Good, average and slow travel pace • Free time for nature connection • Roaming, phone network and offline maps • Stay location, breakfast and cancellation strategy • Food and grocery planning • Car comfort and luggage space • Lightweight clothing and layering • Laundry instead of overpacking • Permanent trip, grocery, clothing, booking and suitcase checklists My travel philosophy is simple: Don’t just plan where to go. Plan when to be there, how long to stay, and what energy level the day requires. And most important—leave enough time to put the phone down, breathe, and connect with nature.
