There's a variety of locomotives and various consists of freight trains that pass through the area including SCT Logistics, Aurizon and Pacific National interstate intermodal services as well as the heavy-hauling grain trains of the CBH Group Being on the outskirts of Perth, the capital of the western Australian state of the same name, Herne Hill provides a very good balance of being both nearby enough to city to be convenient, but still retain a healthy amount of passing freight traffic to spot!
