Mr. Jayaseelan, who is currently working as the Controller of Defence Accounts of Southern States in Chennai, joined the Indian Defence Accounts Service in 2003 through the Civil Service Examination. Earlier, he worked as a Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India. He was born in a ordinary farmer's son in Budalur village of Thanjavur district, studied up to class 5 in Panchayat Union Primary School in the same village, from six to eight in Government Higher Secondary School, Budalur, his higher education in Government Higher Secondary School, Mallipatnam, and higher education in Government Higher Secondary School, Muthupettai. Later, he completed B.Sc Zoology degree from Periyar EVR Government College, Trichy, Post Graduate Zoology from Jamal Mohammed College, Trichy and B.Ed from Government College of Education, Orathanad.
