Chopin for deep sleep: eight hours of his gentlest nocturnes and preludes over soft, real rain. The same calm 56 minutes play nine times, a little softer each time, then the rain alone. The picture slowly fades almost to black after ten minutes, so the screen won't light up your room. No vocals, no talking.

THREE TRUE STORIES FOR THE NIGHT
1. In the winter of 1838–39 Chopin finished his Preludes in an old monastery on Majorca, on a little Pleyel piano. George Sand later wrote that one rainy evening she came home to find him distraught: while playing, he had dreamed that he had drowned in a lake, with icy drops falling in a regular rhythm on his breast. When she made him listen to the rain on the roof, he denied having heard it. Prelude No. 15 is known as the "Raindrop".
2. Chopin did not invent the nocturne (the Irish composer John Field developed the form), but he took it much further. He admired Field all his life; Field, after hearing Chopin's nocturnes, is said to have called him a "sickroom talent".
3. The E minor nocturne (Op. 72 No. 1) was one of the first Chopin wrote, before he left Poland, but it was published only after his death.
