Porthleven Harbour Boat Evacuation - Feb 2014

Racing against the tide! Huge waves had smashed out the wooden baulks (bocks) at Porthleven sinking 6 boats and leaving the inner harbour unprotected. As the tide ebbed the local community in desperation winched out more than 40 boats using every means possible before more waves rolled in. By 5pm the harbour was completely empty.
