Come along for a late September fall hike at Golden Gate Canyon State Park on the Raccoon Trail Loop! We kick things off at Panorama Point Overlook (make sure to arrive early for parking!) with stunning views of Longs Peak, then dive right into glowing golden aspen groves. This ~2.5-mile loop takes us through beautiful aspen stands, rocky viewpoints, trail junctions with the Mule Deer Trail, and a quick detour to check out a historic cabin. Plus, stick around until the end for bonus footage: the scenic drive to Nederland and a rare moose sighting! Trail & Park Details: • Park: Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Colorado • Trail: Raccoon Trail (with Mule Deer Trail junctions) • Starting Point: Panorama Point Overlook • Distance: ~2.5-mile loop (hiked counter-clockwise) • Highlights: Glowing fall aspens, Longs Peak overlook, historic cabin, pine forest climb, and bonus moose footage! • Park Pass: $12 day pass (available at the Visitor Center and self-pay stations) If you enjoyed the hike, please hit the like button and subscribe to Boulder Day Hikes for more Colorado trail adventures and fall foliage updates! #GoldenGateCanyonStatePark #RaccoonTrail #ColoradoHiking #FallColors #BoulderDayHikes #GoldenGateCanyonStatePark #RaccoonTrail #ColoradoHiking #PanoramaPoint #ColoradoFallColors
