Since, old times there were merely any doctors so the elderly people used to make such items which were good for health. Although Haldi is one of the major ingredients of most of the Indian dishes but to make panjiri of raw turmeric sounded very yucky. We used to run away from the bitterness of haldi, while our elders enjoyed eating such items and often said that we will realize the effects in the future. It's true that in recent times the rise of diseases has led us to remember the recipes taught by our elders. To revive the memories of our ancestors we are trying to post recipes taught by our grandparents. MANDATE OF OUR CHANNEL: An effort to encourage people to remember traditional Punjabi culture through food. In this video, a scenario of Punjabi women cooking in a Chaunka (Traditional Punjabi Kitchen) is shown to let people know about our culture and love for food.
