Εἰνοδίην Ἑκάτην κλῄζω I invoke Hekate of the Ways / Crossroads. 2. τριοδῖτιν She of the three-way crossroads. 3. ἐραννήν Lovely, beloved, delightful one. 4. οὐρανίην, χθονίαν τε, καὶ εἰναλίην Heavenly, earthly/underworld, and of the sea. 5. κροκόπεπλον Saffron-robed / saffron-veiled. 6. τυμβιδίην, ψυχαῖς νεκύων μέτα βακχεύουσαν She of the tombs, celebrating in Bacchic ecstasy among the souls of the dead. 7. Πέρσειαν, φιλέρημον, ἀγαλλομένην ἐλάφοισιν Daughter of Perses, lover of solitude, delighting in deer. 8. νυκτερίην, σκυλακῖτιν, ἀμαιμάκετον βασίλειαν Nocturnal one, protectress/lover of dogs, invincible Queen. 9. ταυροπόλον, παντὸς κόσμου κληιδοῦχον ἄνασσαν Bull-associated one, sovereign Queen and key-bearer of the entire cosmos. 10. ἡγεμόνην, νύμφην, κουροτρόφον, οὐρεσιφοῖτιν Leader, Nymph, nurturer of children, wanderer of the mountains. 11. λισσομένοις κούρην τελεταῖς ὁσίαισι παρεῖναι Maiden, I beseech you to be present at the sacred rites. 12. βουκόλῳ εὐμενέουσαν ἀεὶ κεχαρηότι θυμῷ Be ever gracious to the herdsman/mystic, with a joyful and favourable heart.
