In this video, I demonstrate how to recreate the synth sounds from Elton John’s “Cold Heart” featuring Dua Lipa on the Nord Stage 3. I break down the main chord progression, adjust the amp envelope for desired decay, and discuss filter settings to match the song’s dynamics. I also explain how to emulate the bass part using a 16th-note delay synced to the song’s tempo, achieving an arpeggiated effect without an arpeggiator. Additionally, I address the challenge of incorporating high string parts with limited synth engines and suggest possible workarounds.
