It felt very, Audi. Refined, technology filled, good handling, swift and smooth DCT, and a surprisingly good exhaust note. Heck, it even drove great, even in the corners, with Dynamic + mode prioritizing more rear wheel torque. It maintains that discreet sports sedan ethos the S5 has been known for and slots well between BMW & Mercedes competition. Do we wish the coupe & convertible remained? 100% yes. Could the interior have less gloss black, more real trim, and no passenger screen? Yes. But as is, it felt solid, premium, had a great driving position, and can handle the daily commute without being overly stiff or uncanny. Call me surprised, but the S5 is a solid sports sedan in 2027.
